See below for our 2008 Survey Reports Strangford Seagrass search On the 9th and 10th of May Seasearch volunteers gathered to map a Seagrass bed in Ballyhenry Bay, Strangford Lough. Seagrass is a very important habitat. The team continued the work started in 2008 (see report below) by mapping the rest of the bed outline. The bed is far bigger than previosuly supposed - over 390m long and 100m wide. The team used quadrats to look at shoot density. Boats were very kindly supplied by Queens University Sub-Aqua Club.
